This manual applies to ZHZN cabinets only. If you are working on a Reyeah / JD cabinet, stop — several settings below are the opposite of what a Reyeah cabinet needs, and applying them to the wrong machine is the most common and most expensive mistake in this area. See which cabinet am I on? before you touch anything.

1. Which cabinet am I on? 如何确认机型?
A ZHZN cabinet runs our own controller software on a small computer inside the cabinet. A Reyeah / JD cabinet runs an Android app on the vending board itself. The quickest tells, without opening anything: ZHZN 机柜由柜内一台小型工控机运行我方控制软件;Reyeah / JD 机柜则由售货主板本身运行安卓应用。无需拆机即可快速判别:

Why the advice is opposite, in one sentence. On a Reyeah cabinet the board is a poor conversation partner, so those settings are turned on to paper over its shortcomings. On a ZHZN cabinet our software is a fully capable partner, so turning the same settings on would hide a real fault instead of fixing one — and a hidden fault here means a shopper is charged for something the machine never delivers.

2. Before you start 作业前准备
Do not do any of these. Nothing in this manual requires them, and each one can interrupt work already running on the cabinet:
- Do not switch the cabinet off or on again.
- Do not unplug the serial cable between the small computer and the motor-control board.
- Do not restart or reinstall the cabinet's software.
- Do not unplug any connector. Every step below is either done in a web browser or is looking and photographing only.

What you need: 所需物品:
- A laptop or phone with a web browser, and your Nayax Core login. Nayax Core is Nayax's own management website — it is not ours. 带浏览器的笔记本电脑或手机,以及您的 Nayax Core 账号。Nayax Core 是 Nayax 官方管理网站,非我方系统。
- The terminal number of the card reader on this cabinet. It is the long number printed on the reader's own label — read it off the hardware in front of you rather than from any list. 本机柜读卡器的终端号。该号码印在读卡器机身标签上,请以实机标签为准,不要凭清单填写。
- The price of the most expensive item this cabinet sells. 本机柜最贵商品的售价。
- A camera (your phone is fine), and a torch — the cabinet interior is dark. 相机(手机即可)与手电筒,柜内光线不足。
- A roll of masking tape or a twist-tie. This matters more than it sounds — see step 5. 一卷美纹纸胶带或一根扎线带。其重要性见第 5 步。
Card payment will not start working when you finish, and that is intended. Card payment on this cabinet is switched off on purpose, and stays off until the cabinet has proved it can dispense reliably — we will not take a shopper's money for an item the machine might not deliver. The steps below are the preparation that has to be correct before card payment can be switched on. Nothing here switches it on, and nothing here can produce a card charge.

3. Three settings in Nayax Core Nayax Core 中的三项设置
All three are done in a browser, from anywhere. They are safe to do while the cabinet is running, because the card path is switched off at both ends. 以下三项均在浏览器中完成,可在任意地点操作。由于刷卡通路两端均已关闭,机柜运行期间执行这些操作是安全的。
Finding the settings · 如何找到这些设置
Nayax renames these menus between versions and between accounts, so treat this as the shape of the path rather than exact wording: Nayax 各版本、各账号的菜单名称不尽相同,故以下仅为路径大致结构,非精确名称:
- Log in to Nayax Core. 登录 Nayax Core。
- Go to
Operations→Devices. Some accounts label thisMachinesorMy Machines. 进入Operations→Devices(部分账号显示为Machines或My Machines)。 - Search for your reader's terminal number and open that row. 搜索您的读卡器终端号并打开该行。
Actions→Edit, or the pencil icon →Device Settings/Machine Settings.Actions→Edit,或点击铅笔图标 →Device Settings/Machine Settings。- The settings sit in a section called

If you cannot find them there: open the machine record linked to this device. Nayax keeps the reader (a "device") and the vending point (a "machine") as two separate records, and on some accounts these settings live on the machine record. 若在此处找不到:请打开与该设备关联的machine记录。Nayax 将读卡器(device)与售货点(machine)分作两条记录,部分账号的上述设置位于 machine 记录中。
Step 1 · Change the machine type away from tobacco · 第 1 步:将机器类型从烟草类改为普通零售类
- Look at
- The machine type / category on the profile. On many of these cabinets it
is set to
CigarettesorElectronic Cigarettes, left over from whatever the cabinet sold previously. - Why it matters
- A tobacco category forces an age check into every single sale, on a cabinet that no longer sells tobacco. Every shopper is delayed, and the age check has nothing to verify.
- Do
- Change it to a general retail category that is not age-restricted. Match what the cabinet actually sells today.
- Expect
- The reader will fetch its new configuration and restart itself. Its screen goes blank and comes back after a minute or two. This is normal. It does not affect the cabinet's power or its software — do not intervene, and do not switch anything off to "help" it.

Step 2 · Raise Default Credit above your most expensive item · 第 2 步:将 Default Credit 设为高于最贵商品的金额

Default Creditis the amount the reader assumes is available before it has been told the actual price. If it is below the item's price, the reader approves too small an amount and the sale fails at the moment of approval — which looks to everyone like a declined card.- Do
- Set it above your most expensive item, with room to spare. If your
dearest item is
$8.99, set$10.00— not$9.00. Clearing the top price exactly leaves no headroom for the next price change, and the fault it causes is not obvious. - Expect
- No visible change at the cabinet. This setting only matters once card payment is switched on.
中文:Default Credit 是读卡器在获知实际价格前所假定的可用额度。
若该值低于商品价格,读卡器授权金额不足,交易将在授权环节失败,现象上与「卡被拒付」难以区分。
请将其设为高于最贵商品的金额并留有余量:若最贵商品为 $8.99,应设为 $10.00,而非 $9.00;

Step 3 · Read two settings — and change neither · 第 3 步:读取两项设置——两者均不得修改

Ignore VMC ConfigurationandIgnore Start State. Write down whether each is on or off.- Do
- Report both values. Change neither. Also leave
Always Idleexactly as you found it — do not switch it on, and do not switch it off. - Why we only want to read them
- On a ZHZN cabinet these three settings mask exactly the faults we need to be able to see. Until the wiring question in step 5 is answered, switching any of them on would hide the answer.
If you have set up a Reyeah cabinet before, this
will feel wrong — and that is the point. On Reyeah cabinets these settings
are commonly switched on, and the simpler Level 1 conversation is
chosen deliberately, because that board is a weak conversation partner and the
overrides compensate for it. On ZHZN our software is a fully capable partner,
so the same overrides would suppress a genuine fault rather than work around
a limitation. Do not carry a Reyeah setting over to a ZHZN cabinet.
若您此前配置过 Reyeah 机柜,会觉得此处要求相反——这正是关键所在。
Reyeah 机柜通常会开启上述设置并特意选用较简单的 Level 1 通信,因为其主板通信能力较弱,需以这些覆盖设置加以弥补;

切勿将 Reyeah 的设置沿用到 ZHZN 机柜。

4. What those two settings mean 这两项设置的含义
You do not need this to carry out step 3, but it makes the values you report useful rather than just numbers. 执行第 3 步并不需要了解以下内容,但它能使您回报的数值具备实际意义,而非仅是两个状态。

5. Photographs of the wiring 接线拍照
Nobody has yet seen how this cabinet's reader is wired, and that single unknown decides whether the remaining work is a software change or a parts-and-wiring job. This is the most valuable part of the visit and the cheapest. 目前尚无人确认本机柜读卡器的接线方式,而这一未知点决定了后续工作是软件调整还是更换配件与重新布线。此环节价值最高、成本最低。
First, the tape. This is the part that gets missed, and without it the photographs prove nothing. Before taking any picture, wrap a piece of tape or a twist-tie around the reader's data cable, a few centimetres from the reader. Then make sure that tape is visible in the wide photo and again in the close-up of the far end.
A close-up of one end of a cable cannot show where the other end goes. One marked cable, photographed at both ends, with a wide shot in between that contains both, is what turns a pile of photos into an answer. We have been sent wiring photos before and learned nothing from them for exactly this reason.

Also: open the door and light the interior; do not aim the flash straight at a circuit board (the glare erases the printed part numbers we need); and photograph every connector before touching anything — though nothing here asks you to unplug at all. 另请注意:开门并照亮柜内;不要将闪光灯正对电路板(反光会掩盖所需的丝印型号); 在触碰任何部件之前先拍下每个接插件——本手册并不要求您拔下任何插件。
The photographs, and what each one answers · 拍摄清单及各张照片要解答的问题
- Wide shot: door open, with both the control board and the card reader in
frame.
Shows how many circuit boards exist, and whether there is a small extra board between the reader and the control board. Every other photo is located inside this one. 全景照(开门,控制板与读卡器同时入镜):确认柜内电路板数量,以及读卡器与控制板之间是否存在一块小型转接板。其余照片均以此照定位。
- The back of the reader and where its cable leaves it.
Show the connector body and how many wires leave it. This tells us whether power and data share one cable, or whether data and power are separate — a distinction that rules out whole categories of wiring. 读卡器背面及出线处:拍清接插件本体与出线根数,据此判断供电与数据是否共用一根线缆,抑或分开走线——此差异可直接排除若干接线类型。
- The far end of the cable you taped, with enough of its surroundings to
identify what it plugs into.
This is the decisive photograph. Three possibilities, and they lead to three different outcomes: it plugs into a socket on the main control board; or into a small separate board; or into a USB adapter going into the cabinet's computer. 已标记线缆的远端,并带足周边环境以辨识其插入位置:此为决定性照片。 三种可能导向三种不同结论——插在主控制板的插座上、插在一块独立小板上、或经 USB 转接头接入柜内工控机。
- If a small separate board exists: its whole top side, with the printed
text readable.
We need its part number and any labels reading
VMC,MACHINE,PERIPHERALorCASHLESS, plus which cable is on which end. We are looking for sockets labelled
MDB,COIN,BILL,DEX,RS232orTTL— and crucially which are in use and which are empty. This is the other half of the decisive answer. If the only USB-to-serial adapter present is the one already used for the control board, then the reader has no data path at all on this cabinet — which is itself the answer we are looking for. 柜内工控机的 USB 接口:拍清每个口所接设备,且线缆可与全景照相互对应。此为决定性答案的另一半: 若现场唯一的 USB 转串口适配器已用于控制板,则本机柜读卡器根本没有数据通路——这本身就是我方要找的答案。
- The 24V supply or terminal block, with the reader's power lead visible.
In a standard installation the cabinet powers the reader over the data cable itself. A reader taking power from its own separate connection tells us the installation is not standard. 24V 电源或接线端子,读卡器电源线入镜:标准安装中机柜通过数据线本身为读卡器供电;若读卡器由独立接线取电,则说明本次安装非标准形式。
- The reader's own screen, powered on, showing whatever it displays.
Nayax readers show a recognisably different state when nothing has ever spoken to them over the data cable versus when the conversation has completed. This is the one cheap "is anything talking to it at all" signal, and no wiring photo can give it to us. 读卡器自身屏幕(通电状态,拍下当前显示内容):Nayax 读卡器在「从未被通信」与「通信已建立」两种状态下显示明显不同。 这是判断「是否有设备在与其通信」最省事的信号,任何接线照片都无法替代。
- The reader's serial-number label, and the control board's label.
Confirms that the hardware in front of you is the cabinet you think it is. Given how much time has been lost to the two cabinet types being mixed up, this frame is worth taking. 读卡器序列号标签与控制板标签:确认眼前的硬件确为您所认为的那台机柜。鉴于两种机型混淆已耗费大量时间,此照值得一拍。
6. Optional: one command instead of three photographs 可选:一条命令可替代三张照片
Only if you already have keyboard access to the cabinet's computer. Skip this section entirely otherwise — the photographs are sufficient. 仅当您已能操作柜内工控机时适用,否则请整节跳过——仅凭照片亦已足够。
These three commands only read; they change nothing. Do not restart the cabinet's software. 以下三条命令仅为读取,不会修改任何内容。请勿重启机柜软件。

Copy the output exactly as it appears, including any error messages, and send it with the photographs. This is more conclusive about the data path than any photograph, and photos 3, 6 and 7 then simply confirm it physically. 请原样复制输出内容(含任何报错信息),随照片一并发送。在数据通路问题上,此输出比任何照片都更具决定性,而第 3、6、7 张照片则用于实物佐证。
7. What to send back 需回报的内容
- Confirmation that this is a ZHZN cabinet, and the reader's terminal number as printed on its label. 确认本机柜为 ZHZN 机型,并回报读卡器标签上的终端号。
- The machine type you changed it to (step 1), and confirmation that the reader restarted and came back. 第 1 步改为的机器类型,并确认读卡器已重启并恢复。
- The Default Credit you set (step 2), and the price of the most expensive item you set it against. 第 2 步设定的 Default Credit 数值,以及作为依据的最贵商品价格。
- The two values you read (step 3):
Ignore VMC Configuration= on / off,Ignore Start State= on / off. If something on this page does not match what is in front of you, say so rather than choosing the nearest option. Glossary 术语表
- MDB
- The standard vending machines use to talk to the devices that take money — coin mechanisms, note readers, card readers. It is both a cable and a language, and the card reader is one device on it. 售货机与收款设备(硬币器、纸币器、读卡器)之间的通信标准,既指线缆也指协议。读卡器是该总线上的一个设备。
- VMC
- "Vending machine controller" — the side that runs the machine and decides about money. On a ZHZN cabinet this is our software on the cabinet's computer. 「售货机控制器」,即运行机器并作出收款决策的一方。ZHZN 机柜中为柜内工控机上的我方软件。
- Master · 主机 / 主控方
- The side that asks the questions on MDB; the reader only answers. On ZHZN, our software is the master. 在 MDB 通信中发起询问的一方,读卡器仅作应答。ZHZN 上由我方软件担任主控方。
- Cashless device · 无现金支付设备
- How MDB refers to a card reader. If a setting mentions "cashless", it means the card reader. MDB 标准中对读卡器的称法。设置项中出现 cashless 即指读卡器。
- MDB Level 1 / Level 3 · MDB 等级
- Two versions of the card-reader conversation. Level 3 is the newer, fuller one and lets the shopper choose an item before tapping. Level 1 is older and simpler. Which one is in use is not a preference — it depends on what both sides can actually do. 读卡器通信的两个版本。Level 3 较新且功能完整,允许顾客先选商品后刷卡;Level 1 较旧且简单。 采用哪一版本并非偏好问题,而取决于双方实际支持的能力。
Always Idle- A Nayax Core setting that lets the reader accept a tap without waiting to be told a shopper is present. On a ZHZN cabinet, leave it alone. On a Reyeah cabinet the surrounding advice is different — this is the single setting most often applied to the wrong machine. Default Credit- The amount the reader assumes is available before it knows the actual price. Must be above your most expensive item. See step 2. 读卡器在获知实际价格前假定的可用额度,必须高于最贵商品的价格。参见第 2 步。
- Nayax Core
- Nayax's own management website, where readers are configured. It belongs to Nayax, not to us — the menu names change between versions, which is why step 3 describes the shape of the path rather than exact wording. Nayax 官方管理网站,用于配置读卡器。该网站属 Nayax 所有,非我方系统;其菜单名称随版本变化,故第 3 步仅描述路径结构而非精确名称。
- Terminal number · 终端号
- The long number printed on the card reader's label, used to find it in Nayax Core. Use the long one, including any leading zero — not the shorter machine ID, which looks similar and is a different thing. 印在读卡器标签上的长号码,用于在 Nayax Core 中检索该设备。请使用长号码并保留前导零,不要使用外观相似但含义不同的较短 machine ID。
